Drake can certainly roll with the punches when it comes to defending his rapper name and talking about his love life.

The 27-year-old Canadian rapper and Degrassi alum kept it classy and remained calm with Vanessa Bayer of NBC's Saturday Night Live as she threw shade, shade and more shade during an interview on her mock talk show Sound Advice, produced by online comedy network Above Average.

In the season-two premiere episode, which was released on Wednesday, June 11, the improv actress, appearing as condescending fake media coach Janessa Slater, starts the increasingly awkward conversation by suggesting Drake change his stage name to something "a little more, like, hip-hop, rap," such as "Drake Time."

Drizzy, who has showcased his sense of humor and poked fun at himself in the past, rebuffs her cheesy pun-filled suggestions expertly and in character (as, presumably, "Weary Interviewee").

She then asks the rapper, whom she dubbed a "hot, black Jewish guy," if he ever considered using the dating service JDate, which is marketed toward Jewish singles.

"That's not a good idea for me—I'm more of like, a private person and I don't really have, like, trouble…" responded Drake, who has reportedly dated Rihanna on and off over the years.

Talk about confidence! And then he threw some shade of his own—after hearing the 32-year-old do an imitation of a East Coast accent ("Coffee Talk," anyone?), he suggested she sounded twice her age.

And speaking of dating, Bayer's SNL co-star Aidy Bryant recently revealed that art imitated life with regard to their sketch during a January episode, which Drake had hosted. She played a girl at a sleepover who gets all hot and bothered over her friend's dad, played by the rapper.

"That was fully born out of...in our Monday pitch meeting, I had that experience," Bryant said on Late Night With Seth Meyers on episode that aired on Tuesday night. "I was like, ‘I'm a Drake fan' and then I got in the room and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no, this is … this is what a man is. I like, lost my mind."

"And so, I sort of made a joke about it in the pitch meeting and he was like, ‘Well, come to my hotel tonight,'" she continued. "And I was like, ‘Oh my God. This is gonna happen for me. I am gonna cheat on my boyfriend [Late Night writer Conner O'Malley] with Drake and um, I don't care!'"

She didn't, adding that it was because she is "respectful."

"But I do know that if you watch that scene, you'll see that we fully got to like, second base. Oh yeah."
