Barack Obama holds two very important titles: President of the United States and father to two teenage daughters.

As for which job is harder? Well, the U.S. Commander in Chief answered that very question while speaking with former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager in an interview which is set to air on Today on Thursday

"Well, as you know, from experience and you may have chafed under this a little bit—they do have a Secret Service detail, which I've joked—the main reason I ran for re-election was to sustain that all the way through their high school years," Obama said with a laugh after Bush Hager quipped that her father "would maybe have a comment" on her question.

"I don't worry too much about their social lives, they've got their heads on straight" the proud papa added.

The 52-year-old POTUS has two daughters: 15-year-old Malia, who is soon to be 16, and 13-year-old Sasha, who celebrated the milestone birthday this week.

"The main thing I'm going through right now is—is just the time goes by so quick," he admitted. "And you know, Malia will be gone in two years. You know, Sasha'll be gone in five and it seems like yesterday."

As for Obama's advice for new dads?

"One of the things that I always tell young men who are maybe first time fathers (they still have a baby) is—number one, it goes by quick.  Number two—don't just spend time with your kids because it's good for the kids; understand that there's nothing that's gonna be more precious in your life, and you are gonna savor every memory," he said. "And when you're on your death bed, that's the stuff you're going to remember—you holding hands with your daughter."
