Well, that's awkward.

While interviewing South Dakota Republican Senate candidate Annette Bosworth on TV this week, Fox News' Megyn Kelly was supposed to ask Bosworth about the awful hate speech and discrimination she faced throughout her campaign. Instead, Kelly broke the news that the political hopeful had lost her election on live television.

"Annette, thank you so much for being here," the 43-year-old anchor said. "I want to start with the breaking news from the Associated Press that reports that you lost your race and that former South Dakota governor Mike Rounds has prevailed in the GOP primary."

Kelly added, "Your thoughts on that and we'll get to the controversy." LOL!

"Well, that's news to me," Bosworth said after a long, awkward moment of silence. "I didn't know that."

"Really?" Kelly says before Bosworth adds, "I found out on national television."
