Miranda Lambert managed to keep her sense of humor despite going through what must have been quite the scare.

A plane that the country artist was on needed to make an emergency landing Tuesday, but the spunky singer handily turned it into a promotional opportunity for her new album, which also came out just yesterday.

"Our plane had an emergency landing in Clarksburg WV. But don't worry, we found platinum fire suits. Yes! #platinum," Lambert captioned a photo on Instagram in which she and some of her fellow passengers are decked out in super-shiny firefighting gear.

"Finally! It's here! I'm freaking out! So excited!" she also wrote alongside a pic of Platinum on CD, featuring the blond beauty on the cover in a sexy black maxidress with a slit exposing plenty of thigh and her signature cowboy boots.

Lambert, who is covering one side of Rolling Stone's first-ever country issue while Eric Church is on the other, told the magazine, "I don't ever say, 'I'm going to make this record sound more country or more rock & roll.' I feel like there is a little bit of style of what I love as an artist and what I listen to on this record.

"There is some swing, and some rock & roll, and some real country, and everything in between. I don't think if you set out to say, 'I'm going to make it sound like this,' you'll get the result that you want. We get great producers and great musicians and we let them create their own art too."

About being an RS cover girl, she said, "I think as a musician, that's what you shoot for. To be on the cover of Rolling Stone and to have that notch in your belt is something that is really important. It makes other musicians respect you."
