Is that you, Sinéad O'Connor?

The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer has released the cover art for her upcoming album I'm Not Bossy I'm the Boss and the typically bald-headed beauty is virtually unrecognizable in the photograph.

Sporting a black wig, heavy eye makeup and a skin-tight PVC body suit, the 47-year-old performer appears dramatically different on the cover for her upcoming LP, which is due to hit airwaves on Aug. 12.

O'Connor's signature tattoos are all covered up and the singer has shed her conservative attire, opting for a sexed-up image. Additionally, the hitmaker seems a bit slimmer and looks like she may have lost weight before the photo shoot.

In addition to debuting her dramatic makeover, the singer also took to her blog to reveal that her album title is "taken from Sheryl Sandberg's Ban Bossy campaign," which aims to empower young women as leaders.

"Originally I had a different title, The Vishnu Room, but a few months back when I saw the phrase ‘I'm not bossy, I'm the boss' and became aware of the Ban Bossy campaign, I wished I could re-name the album, since indeed it can be tricky being a female boss and I think Sheryl's campaign is a terribly important one," she wrote.

"At the stage I became aware of the Ban Bossy campaign it was too late to change the album title because the sleeve was already in print. But last week when the record company received the promo shots, which included the cover shot you now see, they asked could they change the planned cover to the current one, and that allowed me the opportunity of changing the title."

O'Conner added that she is a "very happy girl" following the album title switcheroo.

I'm Not Bossy I'm the Boss will be Sinead's 10th studio album. Her last LP, How About I Be Me (And You Be You), was released in 2011.
