Everyone is talking about Rihanna's nearly naked CFDA dress but what does the star think about her look?
Well, not surprisingly she didn't think it was that shocking. When asked if she was planning on wearing her Adam Selman creation out after the fashion awards, the "Diamonds" singer quipped: "Why? Yes I am. Do my t-ts bother you? They're covered in Swarovski crystals!"
Still, despite her clever comeback, the 26-year-old didn't end up hitting the town in her dazzling dress. After accepting her Fashion Icon Award, the pop star was seen leaving the fête covered up in a white gown with matching blazer.
And while the singer may be able to shrug off her translucent dress as just another outfit, the designer seems to understands why the fashion world is freaking out.
"We definitely wanted to make it a little bit scandalous," Adam Selman told Style.com. "The dress is just fishnet and crystals and a couple of fingers crossed. But fashion is about beauty, and the [female] body is part of that."
Even the singer's stylist needed time to prepare for the sheer dress debut: "It's so naked," Mel Ottenberg shared with Style.com. "I don't know if it's shocking—I'm with her all the time, so my shock gauge is off, but I told her that I thought she was ready for this dress a while ago, and that I wasn't I'm the prude, and I'm just catching up."
