Last time we caught up with the Spring Breakers star she was wearing what we referred to as a "sack with leg holes." But this roomy red carpet look almost gives us hope that Austin Butler's main squeeze is phasing out the boho done badly and phasing in some '70s style done right.
And "almost" is because she totally blows it with that giant leopard wrap situation...
We can let the way-too-long length on this pleated champagne dress slide. The color is really lovely on the former Disney star's deep skin, and we're fans of the high waist. Yes the bag slung across the front is unflattering, but Vanessa was caught catching some theater not posing on a carpet.
Our support wanes when it comes to the animal print cardigan. Or is that a massive scarf? The fact that we can't tell is the first problem. The second is how this Cali native is wearing the piece. It's not the pattern we hate, it's the half-on, half-off effect. A little blazer would be adorable, as would a slightly less gigantic shawl.
But here's to baby steps for the Beastly star. Rome wasn't built in a day, nor was good taste, apparently.
