Just think about how much of your day is spent scrolling through websites, flipping through magazines and watching E! News to keep up with what your favorite stars are wearing? Admit it: a lot, right? And then the hard part: trying to re-create those looks without blowing your budget. Well, good news! From now on I'll be doing that outfit research for you. Each week I will use my styling expertise to mimic an amazing celeb look of the week—on the cheap!
First up? A classic summer whites effect thanks to Khloé Kardashian. Because, with Memorial Day now behind us we officially have the OK from the fashion powers-that-be to wear white—and lots of it!
I think we can all agree that the whole Kardashian clan has been crushing it this past week, especially Khloé, who even closed out the extravagant wedding weekend in perfect airport style.
The 29-year-old paired white Black Orchid distressed jeans with a white bomber jacket, white tank, Christian Louboutin pumps, Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses and a Chanel fringe bag. I love this look but the shoes and jeans alone are over $1,500. Honestly, I'm afraid of what the total would be once we add in the Chanel bag…yikes!
So here are my suggestions: Aviator shades by A.J. Morgan look almost identical to Khloé's and are only $24. Bomber jackets are so on trend right now, which means it's pretty easy to find one that isn't pricey. This lace bomber jacket from H&M, $50, is a great alternative and I love how the feminine lace balances out the masculine cut of the jacket. As for the top, a simple American Apparel tank, $21.50, will do the trick. Then nab a great pair of white distressed jeans from ASOS for $70.
Moving on to accessories, opt for white pumps by Ted Baker, $111, and a black fringe bag like the one here from Zara for $99.90 And bam—there you have it: the look for way less!
