A video showing Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson presumably smoking a joint while being transported in a van in Peru was leaked on the Internet today. The 5-minute clip, narrated by Tomlinson, features the two singers taking hits while talking with a few of their entourage who were also in the car.

One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan were not in the same car.

"So here we are, leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days!" Tomlinson is heard saying, and then asks Zayn, "What do you think about that kind of content?" Malik responds, "Very controversial."

At one point, Louis records a nearby police motorcyclist outside the window and says, "One nil b---h! Look at this b---h! He's having a look. He's thinking, ‘I'm sure I can smell an illegal substance in there.' And he's hit the nail on the head." Tomlinson also explains in the video that, "One very very important factor of Zayn's warm up of course is Mary J herself."

According to a rep for One Direction, the band's official comment to E! News is, "This matter is in the hands of our lawyers."

The duo were driving through Lima, Peru, to a show at the Estadio Nacional where One Direction performed to a sold-out 40,000-person crowd on April 27 for their Where We Are tour. Marijuana is not legal in Peru but possession is not punishable if it is for personal and immediate consumption in quantities not exceeding eight grams.
