John Mayer is clearly a Beyoncé fan.

Just one month after he served up a stripped-down rendition of her song "XO" during his Australian tour, the singer-songwriter actually made his way into the studio to record it.

Mayer's version, which only utilizes a guitar, harmonica and piano, will be released on iTunes next Tuesday.

Of course, he's not the first person to take a stab at Beyoncé's music.

While appearing on Z100's Morning Show in April, Ed Sheeran covered the gal's "Drunk in Love."

And while it's no surprise that he was able to kill certain parts of the track, it was impressive to see him keep up with some of the faster, tongue-tied hooks.

Sheeran had definitely come a long way since the first time he tried to cover Queen B's single.

Hmm, guess the question now is, who covers Beyoncé best?
