Kevin Liverpool, 36, was originally sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 10 years and eight months, but per the BBC, his minimum term has been reduced to six-and-a-half years. Court of Appeals judges also reduced 33-year-old Junior Bradshaw's 18-year sentence to 10 years.
Liverpool could be eligible for parole in December 2017, although the Court of Appeal judges stressed, per NBC News, "we are not ordering that the appellant be released...Far from it."
As for Bradshaw, who was described as a "foot soldier" in the plot? He now could be eligible for parole by as early as 2016.
The two men were arrested in June 2011 near Stone's country home in Devon. They were reportedly armed with a Samurai sword, knifes, hammers, rope and a bodyguard, and details later emerged that Liverpool and Bradshaw hoped to decapitate the singer before dumping her body in the river.
Fortunately, neighbors reported the men's suspicious behavior and the men were taken into custody before it was too late. Their purported victim later testified that her security team had never received any sort of threat from Liverpool or Bradshaw.
In a U.K. radio interview last June, Stone described the plot as "a bit harsh and a little odd."
