A home fit for a future king!

While Kate Middleton has not been seen since she returned home from the royal tour Down Under, the Duchess of Cambridge has a fine excuse for clearing her schedule: she's busy putting the final touches on the couple's country home at Anmer Hall.

Located on the queen's Sandringham estate, the 10-bedroom home has been under renovation since October while the couple adds a glass-roofed extension to the kitchen. The 16-foot-by-16-foot garden room was designed by architect Charles Morris, who was also behind the renovations for Prince Charles' Highgrove House

In addition to the new extension, the swimming pool has also been refurbished at the stunning Georgian mansion, which also features tennis courts.

"It's like a fancy farmhouse," a source tells People of Will and Kate's future digs. "It isn't grandiose. But it's a great, friendly family environment."

And Kate, who is famous for her impeccable taste, is said to be doing the interior decorating for the home.

The 32-year-old beauty was spotted in March at Knights Oriental Rugs, where she purchased two Turkish kilim rugs, "one was a soft red and another soft ivories with soft blues, pastel colors," the store's owner Simon Knight told E! News.

Kate spent over an hour deciding on the perfect pieces for her home and told Simon that she "wanted to have her own influence with the interior of the property."

"Instead of hiring an interior designer, she wants to furnish Anmer in her own style, because she wants this to be her own family home," Huck told the U.K. Express.
