"I love dressing up," Ora told me tonight before she performed at the Belvedere party at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. "It's so much fun especially when you do it without all the pressure, because you can't really go wrong in my opinion. You just go with what you like. That's what I do."
"I've always been dressing up and I don't really think about what people might think," the singer-songwriter continued. "I just honestly love the process of it. It's good fun."
Also good fun was the side boob-baring topless pic that she posted on Instagram on Wednesday to celebrate her single "I Will Never Let You Down" reaching No. 1 on the U.K. charts. She's wearing nothing but a pair of Calvin Klein underwear in the photo.
"There was one with side boob and one without side boob," Ora said. "I said, 'Of course, let's go with the side boob.'"
Her boyfriend, celebrity DJ Calvin Harris, doesn't seem to mind the racy pic. "He hasn't even commented on it actually," Ora said. "He doesn't care."
As Fifty Shades of Grey fans know, Ora will make her acting debuting playing Christian Grey's sister in the much-anticipated movie adaptation of the raunchy novel.
"I'm still coming to terms with the fact that I'm surrounded by the whole hype around it," Ora said. "It's going to be such an amazing feeling when it does come out…I'm just honestly sitting back before the storm hits. I just can't wait, you know what I mean?"
We certainly do.
Tonight also marked Ora's first time performing in Cannes. She stunned in a low-cut black Cavalli dress (she was spotted earlier in the day visiting Roberto Cavalli on his yacht) before slipping into a red Jean Paul Gaultier ensemble for her four-song set in a nightclub overlooking the city's famed Boulevard de la Croisette.
