WARNING: We're about to quickly run though everything that happened in tonight's season five finale of Glee. If you do not wish to be spoiled, get the heck out of here!

Welp, that about does it for season five, gleeks.

It's been an emotional season of Glee, to say the least, and after watching tonight's season five finale, it looks like the hit Fox series is ready to give their characters a whole new world of opportunities.

From an exciting cross-country gig, to a relationship on the rocks, a missing actress, and the return of a fan-favorite character, tonight's hour was packed with musical fun, and serious moments.  Read on for everything you need to know about Glee's season five finale…

Despite doing his best to resist the sexy temptations of his fellow hot models and photographers, Sam (Chord Overstreet) kissed another girl. Yikes! It's all right though because Mercedes (Amber Riley) wasn't mad. However, the budding songstress decided that it would be best if they broke up now, in order to possibly have a chance of getting back together in the future. How very mature of them!

As for the show's other couple, Blaine (Darren Criss) finally came clean to his fiancé about the fact that June (Shirley MacLaine) absolutely does not want Kurt (Chris Colfer) to sing in her exclusive showcase. Although Kurt was originally super pissed-off his beau's lies, the two kissed and made up after a lengthy conversation in which they compared their love life to pigeons. How… sweet? Blaine also pulled Kurt up on stage to sing with him at the showcase anyways, and it was truly an "Awwww!" moment.

To put this nicely: the writer (played by Kristen Schaal) who was sent to create a television pilot based on Rachel's (Lea Michele) life was absolutely... bonkers! (Naturally she and Brittany got along great.) Although the original script was a hot mess, Rachel was able to inspire the eccentric TV writer (through the power of song, of course!) into writing a brilliant second draft. By the end of the episode, Rachel received a call letting her know that she needed to fly out to Los Angeles because they want to turn her script into a TV pilot. And just like that, Rachel is going to give up her life-long dreams of being a Broadway star for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

Oh and as for the M.I.A. Santana? You can find out Glee's explanation for her disappearance and many more answers to this season's burning questions right here!

Now that Rachel and the gang are going their separate ways in pursuit of new dreams, the friends decided that in six months, they would reconvene in NYC to catch up, and share their stories. Despite the fact that this was one of Glee's most tame finales, tonight's hour definitely helped set up the season six time jump that creator Ryan Murphy revealed to us a few weeks ago.

Although the McKinley high crew agreed to meet back up in the Big Apple half a year lafter, Murphy clarified that next year's sixth and final season will not be New York-centric. Also the season will directly involve only a handful of core characters—although Murphy insisted that for the final year, "anybody who wants to come back can come back."
