Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are known to be a little lavish, and that includes their wedding anniversary celebrations.

Remember their over-the-top vow renewal ceremony at Disneyland last year? Of course, who could forget their fairy tale event or their vow renewal in Paris the year before? But when April 30, 2014, rolled around, the celeb couple opted to keep their anniversary celebrations low-key for a change.

"We definitely had a good time. The first part of the day, we threw a birthday for them and their friends at their school, and then after that, once we tired all the kids out, we had a nice romantic rooftop evening and kind of re-enacted some of our wedding and engagement rituals that we do every year," Cannon began to tell Parade.

"So it was low key. I mean the year before, we kind of went over the top with Disneyland, so we kind of wanted to reel it in this year so everybody doesn't think that we try to do that every single year."

Cannon also addressed all the rumors surrounding his marriage that claim he and Mariah are currently facing trouble in paradise and heading toward divorce.

"You kind of have to ignore it because every week it's something different, and if you paid attention to it, it actually probably would start really affecting you...There's no merit or truth to it. It's kind of humorous, really. It couldn't be further off from the truth, and it really affects the credibility of the so-called newspapers."

Nick gave a shout-out to his lady on Instagram on their anniversary, posting a hot picture of Carey and writing, "Wow I am the luckiest and most blessed man on the planet! Today is my 6th anniversary of being married to my dream girl! And Everyday just keeps getting better! Happy Anniversary to my amazing wife @mariahcarey I Love You!!! #KKLB#WonderLand"
