Josh Duhamel is a man of many words, but it only took two to snag his gorgeous wife Fergie.

"That's unforunately true," the handsome Hollywood star told E! News when asked if his first words to his lady really were "you're hot." Duhamel and Fergie met on the set of his show Las Vegas years ago when The Black Eyed Peas made a guest appearance, and yes, those two words were the first things out of his mouth when he met the gorgeous gal.

But he explained, "It sounds corny when you say it, but I think she knew I was sort of saying it tongue-in-cheek because she had already known that I had a little bit of a crush on her while she was there and it was sort of a way of saying something she already knew."

With that said, he offered a bit of dating advice to the single guys looking for love. "So for all the men out there, all you gotta do is tell ‘em they're hot and they'll be yours forever," he joked. LOL!

Regardless, the short introduction clearly worked in his favor. The Hollywood couple has been going strong for over five years now, and even added a bundle of joy to the family, Axl Jack. Duhamel also tells E! News that he and Fergie continue their two-week rule (where they don't go more than two weeks without seeing each other while on location for work), but even that's too long for them to go apart nowadays.

"She's here with me now. She's staying with me. We've got a house and the whole thing," the actor, who is currently in Austin shooting his new film Lost in the Sun, tells us. "We're one happy family in Austin, Texas. I can't stay away from my boy for that long or her."

The 41-year-old, who is also a strong advocate for pet adoption, admits that getting a dog was a great way to prepare for kids.

"It was interesting for me because when I first got mine, I was terrified for that reason—the responsibility of taking care of it. I have to make sure this thing is fed and taken out to go poop and pee all the time. It was not only easier than I thought it was gonna be, but it did also in some weird way prepare me to be a father," he said.

Well, he now knows that he can take good care of a dog and a human, so will there be more little babies on the way? "At some point," he says.

With genes like that, it's only fair to the world to continue reproducing, right?
