24: Live Another Day will feature a new villain

Jack Bauer will go up against a new villain when 24: Live Another Day premieres. Judy Davis, who was slated to co-star opposite Kiefer Sutherland as the widow of a notorious terrorist, has bowed out of her recurring role on the upcoming 24 revival due to personal matters, E! News has confirmed.

Casting for her replacement is set to began immediately. 24: Live Another Day is currently in production in London.

Davis was nominated for two Oscars, won two Golden Globes and has taken home three Emmys.

The cast of 24: Live Another Day also includes Mary Lynn Rajskub, who is reprising her role of Chloe from the original series, Kim Raver, William DevaneGiles Matthey,Gbenga Akinnagbe, Benjamin Bratt and Michael Wincott. Chuck and Dexter veteran Yvonne Strahovski will play a the CIA agent hunting Jack and The O.C.'s Tate Donovan will play the White House Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau.

24: Live Another Day picks up years after the events of the original 24 series. Jack Bauer is on the run and resurfaces after hearing of a plot that targets both the president and the prime minister.

"I think it's got a lot of things that's going to satisfy the fans," Rajskub told E! News. "When you find Chloe, she's just somewhere we've never seen her before. She's in a bad, bad spot…I've gone anti-government and when Jack and I are finally reunited, we're not seeing eye-to-eye and he's being hunted by a CIA agent."

24: Live Another Day premieres Monday, May 5 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
