DWTS Champ J.R. Martinez and Diana Gonzalez-Jones Break Up

Get the scoop on the status of the former couple, who have a daughter together

J.R. Martinez is a single man again.

The season 13 Dancing With the Stars champ and his girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones have broken up about a year and a half after welcoming their daughter Lauryn Annabelle, a rep for Martinez confirms to E! News.

"Diana Gonzalez-Jones and I have ended our relationship," Martinez, 30, says in a statement. "However, we are committed to working together to raise our daughter in a healthy and happy environment."

Martinez and Gonzalez-Jones were together for several years.

Martinez, who served in the Iraq War before becoming an actor, welcomed his first child in May 2012. "I hold her every second that I can," he told E! News at the time. "I kiss her every half a second. It's an amazing feeling. It really is. I want to keep her the way she is and just hold her in my arms."

"We watched Dancing With the Stars together the other night," he added. "She was laying on my chest. She didn't agree with [judge] Len [Goodman] either, which was nice. She kind of fussed when Len gave his score."

Martinez can be seen playing a firefighter in the new drama series Saf3 (pronounced safe).
