Just a few days after being rushed to the hospital after punching a mirror while filming his new flick Nightcrawler, the 32-year-old actor stepped out last night for the 2013 Casting Society of America's Artios Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Gyllenhaal posed for pics on the red carpet with his left hand wrapped up in bandages. He looked handsome in a dark suit and white shirt.
Gyllenhaal's on-set accident happened last Wednesday while filming in L.A. "During the shooting of the scene his character (purposefully) banged his hand into the mirror," his rep told E! News. "Unfortunately the mirror broke and Jake's hand was badly cut up. He got numerous stitches at the ER and was released. He already returned to set for work."
On Friday, Gyllenhaal debuted his bandaged hand at a screening of his film Prisoners. Despite the injury, he was all smiles while speaking to fans from the stage.
He also stepped out Saturday night to attend the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Governors Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
