Prince William and David Beckham are both pretty powerful, but together? They're unstoppable!
So it's a great thing for Mother Earth that these British gents teamed up on behalf of WildAid to record two public services announcements to protect the world's wildlife.
On Thursday, Sept. 12, William and David recorded messages aimed at reducing the demand for rhino horn and ivory, especially in China and Vietnam. The messages, which also feature retired NBA athlete Yao Ming, will air later in 2013 as part of WildAid's demand reduction campaign.
William's passion for wildlife and conservation is clearly important to him. During a clip from Prince William's Passion: New Father, New Hope," which premieres on CNN on Sunday, Sept. 15, the new father explains, "You want to stand up for what's vulnerable and what needs protecting."
And that's exactly what he's doing! Just hours after William recorded a PSA for WildAid, he and Kate Middleton plan to attend the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards. He will also make a short speech at the ceremony, during which a top conservationist will be the recipient of the Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa.
