By the looks of this photo, we'd say Chris Pine's beard is unstoppable.

The Star Trek star is boldly sporting quite the bizarre facial hair as he stepped out onto the set of his latest movie, Stretch.

Wearing a Yankees cap and grey tank top, the 32-year-old Pine looked like he was getting ready for a ZZ Top concert rather than film what appears to be a hilarious cameo for the Joe Carnahan comedy-thriller, as first reported by The Wrap.

No word exactly on the nature of the actor's part, but given Stretch's plot, it's more than likely he'll end up in the backseat of a stretch limousine.

That's because the film follows a deep-in-debt limo driver (Patrick Wilson) who gets more than he bargained for driving around a mysterious billionaire, not to mention other unusual-looking clientele (see Pine).

Pine previously worked with Carnahan on the 2006 flick, Smokin' Aces and since then he's become quite the action star having assumed the helm of The Enterprise in 2009's Star Trek and its recently released sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, which has so far grossed a whopping $446 million worldwide.

He's due to follow that up with Jack Ryan, a Kenneth Branagh-helmed reboot about the adventures of Tom Clancy's famed CIA analyst hero, a character previously played on the big-screen by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck.

That film, which recently wrapped production, is scheduled to unspool on Dec. 25, 2013.

Stretch, which costars Brooklyn Decker, Ray Liotta, Ed Helms and David Hasselhoff, hits theaters on March 21, 2014.
