Avril Lavigne can be the queen of our punk-princess prom any day.
The video for the her new single "Here's to Never Growing Up" debuted last week—and not only did we have the platinum-selling hitmaker in studio today, E! News has exclusively obtained behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot.
And it isn't all teddy bears and smoky eyes...
Well, actually there is a fair amount of smoky-eye action.
But you can also check out the engaged 28-year-old having an amazing time on the production's high school set, rocking out next to the lockers and dodging a horde of kids who just can't wait to get the bleep out of there.
Or at least can't wait to get to the prom!
Also watch Avril shoot the video's central prom scene, which culminates in a burst of confetti and champagne to mark the end of childhood and the beginning of, if she has it her way, not-quite-adulthood.
"I'm pretty impressed with the set, it looks pretty cool," she said behind the scenes, admitting that she scrapped her own concept at last minute when the director came up with the awesome-sounding (and -looking) prom scenario.
Definitely a good choice.
