The Tonight Show's recurring "Pumpcast News" segment on Wednesday was, well, a gas.

In fact, you might say this particular installment of the segment on Jay Leno's show, which involves news anchor Jack Rafferty (actor Tim Stack) talking directly from a screen to surprised drivers while they're filling up at a station, put a song in our hearts (and a laugh in our belllies).

When a man pumping gas is heard singing, Rafferty asks if he's a professional.

The guy notes that he only does karaoke and proceeds to belt out Bon Jovi's "Living' on a Paryer," much to the amusement of his wife who is sitting in the car.

She, in turn, is encouraged to step out and the couple winds up performing a duet of "Sweet Dream (Are Made of This)" by the Eurythmics.

Sure enough, Leno was so impressed that he ended up inviting them to the studio to sing with the Tonight Show band.

And the rest, as they say, is viral history.

(E! and the Tonight Show are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
