NBCTake it from Jessica Simpson, y'all: Season two of Fashion Star will be bigger, better and "sexy as heck."
As this exclusive first look reveals, the makeover of NBC's design competition series includes an energetic new host (Louise Roe, stepping in for Elle Macpherson), a new fashion bidder in Express and a twist reminiscent of the network's other hit reality series The Voice: This time around, the designers competing to have their looks sold in stores nationwide will be divided into teams hand-picked and advised by returning mentors Simpson, Nicole Richie and designer John Varvatos. And the caliber of those competitors has been kicked up a notch from the first season—one designer previously worked with Carolina Herrera, while another previously had her label's designs sold at Saks Fifth Avenue—and is looking to get in there once again.
Mama-to-be Simpson seems especially psyched about her team's talents, calling one of her designer's looks on the runway "sexy as heck!"
