Nothing like celebrating a birthday with your little one.
That's exactly what Katie Holmes did on Tuesday as the actress marked turning the big 3-4 by joining daughter Suri for breakfast at the Upper West Side restaurant Sugar and Plumm, a whimsical bistro, bakery and chocolatier, a source tells E! News.
We're told the duo ordered silver dollar pancakes and eggs benedict prepared by executive chef Ben Dodaro.
Following their meal, Holmes was treated to a birthday surprise: a homemade vanilla sponge cake layered with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream frosting that said "Happy Birthday Katie" from pastry chef Pichet Ong.
Mother and daughter were later spotted hitting up the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Talk about taking a bite out of the Big Apple!
