Sorry, Bilbo Baggins, the Royal Fetus isn't coming to your premiere.

Kate Middleton has canceled her planned appearance at The Hobbit's London premiere Wednesday, a palace rep tells E! News. The pregnant royal will continue to rest privately, but hubby Prince William still plans to attend.

On Dec. 3, the 30-year-old still-hospitalized duchess canceled her next week of public engagements, but at that point it was unclear whether she'd be feeling better by The Hobbit's U.K. premiere. The palace said in a statement that following Kate's release last Thursday, she would need to rest at home.

While we're sad we won't get to see Kate work some Middle-earth magic on the red carpet, we're glad she's able to rest at the palace. Feel better soon, Miss Catherine!
