UPDATE: The charges against Bieber have been dismissed after the singer showed proof of a valid Georgia license and valid registration to a Beverly Hills court. Bieber entered a no contest plea to failing to signal while turning, paid his fines and the case has been closed.

What with the week the newly single Justin Bieber is having, a little reckless behavior is to be expected.

Just a few days after his breakup with Selena Gomez hit the headlines, the broken-hearted pop star found himself back in the glare of the media—and, as it happens, the flashing lights of a cop car—when he got pulled over and ticketed by one of Los Angeles' finest.

The incident took place yesterday at 6:30 p.m., when Justin was driving through West Hollywood in his white Ferrari.

While he was initially pulled over by sheriff's deputies after making an unsafe left turn, he was ultimately issued a citation after he was found to have had an expired registration.

In any case, Biebs certainly seemed to take the incident in stride afterwards, even cheekily posting an Instagram photo of the lights-blazing patrol car that pulled him over, as apparently taken from his driver's side window.
