Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt is Mrs. Bates no more.
She's Mrs. Cannon now.
The British actress, who plays housemaid Anna Bates in the Masterpiece series, tied the knot with her longtime partner James Cannon in a private and traditional church ceremony earlier this month.
According to British media reports, the 31-year-old Downton Abbey star ditched the period apron for a bridal gown on Oct. 6, when she swapped vows with her IT director partner.
The duo got engaged earlier this year, and their ceremony was reportedly attended by several members of the Downton cast, though it's unclear exactly which of her famous friends bore witness to the occasion.
In any case, Froggatt, who finished filming the third season of the PBS show over the summer, is reportedly taking some time off to enjoy her honeymoon and settle into married life.
Which is likely much easier to do when your husband isn't in prison. Good thing art's not imitating life.
