The London Olympics have hit a snag.

Don't worry: Ryan Lochte and the Fab Five are fine. But London Mayor Boris Johnson? He's making headlines after getting stuck on a zipline Wednesday. Of course, the Internet isn't about to let Johnson forget this hang-up quite yet. (Must we remind you of Angelina Jolie's infamous Oscars pose and the ubiquitous right leg meme that followed?) Naturally, photoshoppers have already set up "dangleboris," a blog depicting the mayor hanging from peculiar places around the world.

But hey, this 48-year-old politician has a sense of humor about his publicity stunt gone awry.

"Fortunately, the mayor survived his first zip wire experience!" his office said in a statement. "The judges are likely to mark him down for artistic interpretation and, unlike Team GB, he won't be bagging any gold medals today but he remains unbowed."

And even though Johnson's attempt to soar over the crowds in Victoria Park resulted in him helplessly stranded in the air, we think it was a success.

Anyone can make the news. But becoming a meme? That's where the real glory lies.
