Natalie Cole is on the rebound.

The ailing singer has been discharged from a New York City hospital where she had holed up for a week after recently suffering a setback resulting from her difficult chemotherapy treatment for hepatitis C.

The 58-year-old Cole has since returned to her home in Los Angeles, where she will be on bed rest for the remainder of the month.

While the "Unforgettable" warbler is receiving kidney dialysis, her rep tells Entertainment Tonight that it is unrelated to hep C, which is now "under control."

"[She] is doing much better," her spokeswoman told ET.

Cole has nixed all promotional appearances and performances in October in support of her latest album, Still Unforgettable, which entered the album charts last month at No. 19. The rep says Cole hopes to resume her tour in November.

The daughter of music legend Nat King Cole learned of her diagnosis in the spring and went public with her battle in July, saying she had most likely contracted the disease due to her heroin addiction in the early '80s.

In revealing her condition, Cole said she had already began taking a heavy regimen of antiviral medication, and had since tested negative for the disease, which attacks the liver.
