As if you needed reminding (admit it, it's on your calendar), Courtney Stodden's 18th birthday is Aug. 29.

And what better way for the teen bride to count down to that big moment than to launch a new YouTube series with her hubby, 51-year-old Doug Hutchison, right?

In the first episode, titled "My Foot Hurts," Stodden can be seen parading around in her now-familiar stiletto heels while complaining of ankle pain. Hutchison tells her, "It's the shoes, baby. I'm telling you. Stop wearing those shoes!"

Cut to a week later when Stodden learns from a doctor that she actually sprained her ankle while jumping during a photo shoot. In other words, the heels are innocent!

But why exactly are they having to produce their own series? Is it because, as rumor has everyone believing, they aren't getting any other deals?

That's nonsense, according to Stodden's mom/manager, Krista Keller.

"They have so many offers right now—reality shows, endorsements, all kinds of things!" Keller tells E! News exclusively. "They are doing this on the side for now because they are so creative and they wanted to do their own thing while they are entertaining other ideas."

What's more, Keller says Stodden and Hutchison are both big fans of I Love Lucy and that the iconic show inspired the couple's web series. The episodes are meant to be satirical and loosely based on actual events.

"It's influenced from Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball, and Doug also loves The Honeymooners," says Keller. "They just love the reality, nitty-gritty stuff that people relate to. It's just a playful look into their lives because their life is funny and there's so much material to work with."

As for future episodes, Stodden's momager tells us there will be a new one as soon as next week.

"They're able to be their own creators of what they want to put out there," says Keller. "Courtney is a genius, she's brilliant. And Doug is a great producer. They're just having fun."
