The Avengers, Hulk

Move over, Avengers!

Mark Ruffalo is campaigning for his own Hulk flick…

"I'm hoping we're going to see a Hulk movie," the hunky actor told me at last night's splashy Avengers premiere. "Why don't we start an online petition for a Hulk movie?"

It's not like Hollywood hasn't thrown the green muscle-head onto the big screen already. Director Ang Lee's Hulk starring Eric Bana grossed a very impressive $245 million worldwide in 2003. Five years later, Bruce Banner and his alter ego were played by Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk. It took in $263.4 million.

The plan was to have Norton reprise the role in The Avengers, but he was dropped by Marvel and replaced with Ruffalo after some nasty public mudslinging between movie execs and Norton's agent.

If Ruffalo does get green again, here's hoping the wardrobe is a bit more pleasant. He had to wear a leotard for most of his work as Hulk. "I'm not well-endowed, and those suits don't really show you off in the most [flattering way]," he told Slash Film.

Fortunately, his wife, Sunshine, assured us last night, "He's being modest."

Prove it! Just kidding.

Now we want to hear from you. You think Ruffalo has what it takes to have his own Hulk movie? Sound off below.
