The Vampire Diaries season three: the year of bromances!

Seriously, we've got Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) tearing it up together (literally!), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) being their usual awesome selves, and now Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Matt (Zach Roerig) have thrown their names in the hat for best TVD bromance. They'd like to thank Vicki (Kayla Ewell), Matt's dead sister who has been visiting Jer, and weed for making this nomination possible.

So what did Steven and Zach have to say about their brewin' bromance? And is there any hope for Matt and Caroline (Candice Accola) after her steamy hookup with Tyler (Michael Trevino) last week?

You know the saying, actions speak louder than words? Steven and Zach sure do. Check out our exclusive video clip to see their bro-love, including Steven tapping Zach on the nose and saying, "Boop!" (Dear Internet, please make that into a GIF as soon as possible. Thank you!) You can definitely tell the boys are enjoying their characters' newfound friendship and we love it.

When we asked Zach about Caroline and Tyler's hot hookup in last week's episode, he jokingly yelled, "What the ef?!" before saying, "I'm actually OK with it. It's a great storyline. They just have that bond that Matt really can't relate to." Man, being a normal teenager with a vampire ex-girlfriend and werewolf best friend is hard, y'all!

So would Zach like to see Caroline and Matt eventually find their way back to each other? In true Matt Donovan form, he answered, "Honestly, I want to see the characters end up being happy. I know that sounds really cheesy, but Matt and Caroline can't be together again." We'll give you Matt and Caroline fans a moment to collect yourselves before we continue.

While breaking up sucks, having two girlfriends die on you and dying twice yourself definitely sucks more. Sorry Matt, Jeremy totally wins the "My Life Sucks" debate. Thanks for playing though! After everything he's been through in the past year, Steven is pretty confident Jeremy will never have a "normal" life.

"Unfortunately, Jeremy has gone through so much that at this point he's outside of the realm of normalcy in society," he said. "Luckily, when you come from a broken-down place like that, you have nothing else to do but grow. That has been fun for me to play because he always was a transitional character."

We also chatted with Klaus himself, Joseph Morgan, who told us, "The first two episodes are kind of like a chapter on their own. We find out about Klaus and his plan for making more hybrids and creating this kind of family for himself." Aw, he just wants a family that he doesn't have to stick daggers in and ship all over the world like a hoarder.

To hear more from the guys, including all the details on Joseph's new film Immortals (will he be shirtless?!), watch the video above and then head on over to the comments to tell us which TVD bromance is your favorite!
