Gravel-voiced rapper Tone Loc was arrested Saturday in Burbank on suspicion of felony domestic violence, after allegedly roughing up the mother of his child.
The 45-year-old performer, whose real name is Anthony Smith, was taken into custody at an apartment complex, and was later released on $50,000 bail.
The rapper hit the top of the rap game with his late-'80s hits "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina," later branching out into TV, films and voiceover work with appearances in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Heat, among others.
Most recently, "Wild Thing" can be heard in the trailer for the upcoming Smurfs reboot.
