Iliza Shlesinger, the 25-year-old hottie of Last Comic Standing fame, took the title last night, beating out other finalists for the honour. Sadly, Canadian Sean Cullen was ousted last week, paving the way for Iliza to move in and win the crowd. Though Iliza was a fan favourite, Sean did well, proving himself as a standout throughout the season. He was constantly used in montages and proved that his years on Canada’s comedy circuit definitely paid off. We definitely thought Cullen held his own in the props challenges and outdid the other comics with his slightly off-kilter wit.
In the end, Iliza grabbed the title and admittedly, she is quite funny – kind of like your funniest girlfriend with a dash of bitter and a side of white trash. Long live the funnies! Check out one of her bits above.
