So True? So False? Is Eva Longoria Adopting?!

Rumors have long swirled that the divorcing actress is looking to start a family. Will she make like Sandra Bullock and adopt on her own?

The rumors have been swirling since even before Eva Longoria and Tony Parker parroted out identical statements on the state of their disunion earlier this month.

But now that their marriage has disintegrated in a sea of scandal, could Eva possibly be going the single parent route? After all, she's certainly been vocal about her desire to adopt in the past. And her suddenly solo endeavor wouldn't exactly be without precedent (see: Bullock, Sandra).

But is Eva really adopting a child? Somebody page the Jolie-Pitts, because this rumor is…

So false!

While we're sure Eva would do a formidable job as a single mother, a source tells E! News that there's no truth to the rumor and that adoption isn't in the cards for her just now. Not that we blame her.

Longoria's lawyers may currently have their hands full with her impending divorce from her allegedly cheating NBA hubby, but that's not to say that someday she won't be opening up her home to a child in need.

But that someday isn't now. And that child won't necessarily be a Haitian, though that's the nationality the rumor mill seems to have chosen for the big-hearted 35-year-old.

Last year, Longoria spoke with E! Online, saying that her longtime work with the Padres Contra El Cáncer organization "of course" made her think about one day adopting.

"I could only wish to have children as strong as the kids I've worked with," she said.

For now, her only babies will remain on the small screen via her production company, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, which currently has two ABC shows (Parenting by Committee and Sendera) in the pipeline, as well as an eight-part miniseries called Aztecs.

Sounds like she's doing just fine.
