Holy Antonioni!
Tyra Banks unleashed her artistic viewpoint tonight with the premiere of a two-minute editorial film—her directorial debut—featuring America's Next Top Model's top four finalists.
Banks, who has presided over many a Top Model photo shoot, admitted she was "really nervous about directing the girls in motion for the first time. I have to tell you that I have a whole new respect for directors through this process! It looks easy, but it ain't."
"When we wrapped, I fell to ground because I was exhausted, but excited at the same time!" she said.
"I wanted to give the Top Model fans something different and visually appealing for the new high fashion cycle, so I hope they like it.
"If they do," she added, "maybe I'll do something bigger in the future."
Well, it doesn't get much bigger than this!
From the Gregorian-chant soundtrack and the statues to all the whipping of the hair back and forth and what must have been a lost audition tape of skinny-minny Ann trying out for The Ring...we don't know where to begin.
