As an Oscar-winning actress, Halle Berry has spent plenty of time with talk show hosts.

But have all those chats properly prepared her to actually portray a talk show host—in particular, Oprah Winfrey?

While taping an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Monday, the sexy star was asked about rumors that she'll be playing the queen of daytime in a movie and here's what she had to say…

"I'm not going to play Oprah," Berry tells DeGeneres. "No, I was like (pretends to be on the phone), 'Hey, Oprah, Am I playing you? Just tell me because nobody has told me this.' I don't know where these rumors come from."

What's more, the actress admits she isn't even aware if there are possible plans for a biopic.

"I don't know," Berry says. "Not that I wouldn't want to play Oprah if there was a movie. I just don't know how this stuff gets made up."

DeGeneres then explains why she's been grilling Berry about the topic in the first place.

"Because I was going to play Oprah," she reveals. "But that's OK. I'm not going to do it now, if you want to do it. That's why I'm just asking."
