All good things—or things that were once good and have since become played out—come to an end.

The Hills will no longer be alive with the sound of Audrina Patridge, Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth, Stephanie Pratt and, er, some other people, after the upcoming seventh season, which, MTV has confirmed, will be its last.

"I think we've told the story of struggle and of finding yourself in L.A.," The Hills creator Adam DiVello told EW.com, which first reported the show's looming end.

"A lot of these kids have found themselves and have certainly embarked on different careers and different paths."

They certainly have.

No word yet on whether original Hills denizen Lauren Conrad will return for one more moment in the sun, but DiVello guarantees that the last go-round will feature myriad story lines, including Audrina's relationship with Ryan Cabrera and Kristin dealing with rumors that she's a drug addict.

The Hills' final season premieres April 27.
