Andrew Koenig's Father: My Son Took His Own Life

Andrew Koenig's parents wish their son had realized how many people cared about him.

"My son took his own life," dad Walter Koenig said during a police news conference this evening.

Walter said that Andrew considered Stanley Park, the 1000-acre area where the actor's body was discovered at noon today, by friends and family members who had organized their own search, a second home. He was found in a densely wooded area, about 1 kilometer away from where the announcement was made.

Andrew's parents had made several public appeals for information as to their son's whereabouts since reporting him missing on Feb. 16, after he missed a flight from Vancouver to Los Angeles.
