Whatever the reason, Valentine's Day owned Valentine's Day, and is expected to own the three-day President's Day holiday by the time all celebrating is concluded tomorrow.
The all-star flick, featuring Roberts, the Taylors and more, grossed an estimated $52.4 million Friday-Sunday, Exhibitor Relations reported. The Lightning Thief ($31.1 million) and The Wolfman ($30.6 million) opened okay; Avatar ($22 million) was still not done.
