Taylor Momsen Tries Too Hard—Again

You guys, despite your bitch-backin' Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen really doesn't care what you think. Can't you tell?

Yesterday T.Moms 'fessed this about being labeled a role model:

"To be honest, I don't f--king care. I didn't get into this to be a role model. So I'm sorry if I'm influencing your kids in a way that you don't like, but I can't be responsible for their actions. I don't care."

And just to show you all how cool and rebellious she really is, Tay decided to... 

...smoke a cigarette. In public. What a badass.

The 16-year-old actress-slash-singer for wannabe rock band, Pretty Reckless, was photographed puffin' away in between takes on GG's NYC set.

While co-stars Leighton Meester and Jessica Szhor sipped coffee and were all smiles, Momsen preferred to sulk in her teen angst-ness.

FYI: if you want to keep trekkin' on this Courtney Love wannabe path, don't star—or perhaps a better word would be occasionally star, since she sometimes gets airtime—in a failing peppy TV show about upper Eastsiders. I dunno, just a little nicotine-stained (takes one to know one!) food for thought, but it seems like eating isn't exactly her No. 1 priority right now, either.

Look, obviously we're not condoning a 16-year-old smoking, but we just find it pathetic that TM is blatantly going out of her way to prove she's so not a goody-goody. Clearly, she knows young girls watch Gossip Girl and look up to the cast, so why does she pathetically have to try so damn hard to prove she's no perky blonde Blake Lively?

We'll take Miley Cyrus over Momsen any day.
