The Hurt Locker just locked down another award.

The Iraq war drama crushed the competition at this year's National Society of Film Critics Awards, taking home top honors for best picture, director (Kathryn Bigelow) and actor (Jeremy Renner) Sunday.

Hurt Locker's triple-award sweep made it the first film since L.A. Confidential in 1997 to rack up top accolades from the Los Angeles, New York and national critics' groups.

Yolande Moreau nabbed the best actress award for French flick Seraphine during the ceremony and comedienne Mo'Nique's dramatic turn in Precious garnered her the award for best supporting actress. Inglourious Basterd's Christoph Waltz and Bright Star's Paul Schneider tied for best supporting actor.

Hurt Locker continues to be a frontrunner in this year's awards season race. The action-thriller scored top honors from the New York Film Critics Circle, the Boston Society of Film Critics, the Los Angeles Film Critics, the Chicago Film Critics, the San Francisco Film Critics, the Las Vegas Film Critics, the Satellite Awards and the Gotham Independent Awards.

The flick was also nominated for the Golden Globes and SAG Awards , made the AFI's list of the year's Top 10 films, and has been helmed as a shoe-in for this year's Academy Awards.
