Brittany Murphy Funeral Set for Christmas Eve

Christmas holiday couldn't be over soon enough for the late star's grieving family

Sadly, Christmas is an afterthought for Brittany Murphy's grief-stricken family.

E! News has learned that the Girl, Interrupted star will be laid to rest on Christmas Eve at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills, five days after her untimely death left Hollywood reeling.

The funeral and burial service is said to be "strictly private." No word who will attend or whether a public memorial is in the works for after the holiday.
