We're told by concertgoers the Gossip Girl star had no faults in the looks department, but performance wise had trouble getting the crowd going.
"Leighton was rocking some tight dark denim and a cute white blazer-type top, and some heavy-but-sexy, dark eye makeup (Taylor Momsen should take note). But she definitely wasn't rocking the crowd."
So was her hosting better than her singing?
We're told that Meester performed first and after having problems engaging the audience, she later had problems engaging herself.
"She later came back on stage to introduce Timbaland, but she could barely muster any excitement."
Oh well, Leighton, its tough being a slashy in this town. Even JLo can't pull off being an actress/singer anymore. Or could she ever?
Another gal who had a bit more success at Jingle Ball was...
Shakira, who we're told put on a "taut" show.
Shaki donned a strapless glittery mini dress, her staple nowadays, and totally rocked her hips and crowd while she was on stage.
"She showed everyone why she has the best core in the business," our music spy tells us.
Meanwhile up the coast a bit...
Blair Underwood was on campus at Harvard University recently. He attended a Christmas concert at the school and we're told by students that he was "so gracious" to fans.
Even 'tho Blair was probably ready to high-tail it out of college town, Underwood made time to give autographs and pose for photos with everyone who approached him.
Oh, and FYI, our campus spy tells us that Blair is "sexy as ever."
Also, the guy recently helped launch the AIDS Healthcare Foundation's Blair Underwood Clinic, an HIV/AIDS treatment clinic in DC.
Geez, is it the Twilight Zone (or opposite, actually) here at the AT recently? Or maybe it's the holiday spirit, but everyone is being so friggin' good lately.
