Basterds, The Hangover Are Golden!

Quentin Tarantino flick, hit comedy nab best film nods; (500) Days of Summer breaks through, too

In a tabloid year of Jon Gosselin and Tiger Woods, the Golden Globes might have nominated the title the world deserves: Inglourious Basterds.

Quentin Tarantino's World War II romp was a big-time nominee this morning, joining Avatar, The Hurt Locker, Precious and Up in the Air as Best Motion Picture, Drama hopefuls.

Crowd-pleasers, big and small, marked the comedy-film race, with (500) Days of Summer and The Hangover joining It's Complicated, Julie & Julia and Nine.

The 67th Annual Golden Globes are scheduled for Jan. 17.
