In the grand tradition of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis, etc., here's the story of love, as told by Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn.
Starting off with this, the first installment in a nine-part video series shot to accompany the tracks on ScarJo and Pete's Break Up, we witness Italian musician Pietro meeting American actress Selina to the jaunty tune of "Relator."
Neither Scarlett nor Pete appear in the series, but it's almost like they're there—those are the 25-year-old Oscar nominee's surprisingly seasoned-sounding pipes mourning a long-distance relationship that started off hot and ultimately turned heartwrenching.
(The heartwrenching part supplied by Yorn's wistful alternacroon, of course.)
