Kirstie Alley just got some high-profile company.

Chris Rock and Jay Leno proved last night that not even Roman Polanski's recent extradition-fighting arrest is too taboo to joke about.

"This Polanski thing got me, man," Rock said. "What the hell? People are defending Roman Polanski cause he made some good movies?"

"Yeah, I don't get it," Leno added, before Rock continued on.

"Are you kidding me? He made good movies 30 years ago, Jay. Come on! Even Johnnie Cochran don't have the nerve to go, well, did you see O.J. play against New England?"

Plenty of Hollywood stars initially sided with Polanski—seemingly forgiving him for plying a 13-year-old with champagne and Quaaludes and then having sex with her, because knows his way around a video camera. But Rock and Leno are the latest in the increasingly vocal opposition, joining the likes of Jewel, Kirstie Alley and Sherri Shepherd.

Even some of Team Polanski's most ardent backers seem to be stepping back from their initial rush to his defense. This week, Poland's prime minister and French officials both urged supporters not to lose sight of the gravity of the charges he faces—namely, having sex with a child—in their arguments to free the 76-year-old filmmaker.
