Kate Middleton is taking care of bees-ness.
The Princess of Wales shows the world she is the ultimate queen bee in a new photo Kensington Palace released on Instagram May 20 in honor of World Bee Day 2023. Wearing a khaki beekeeper outfit, Kate showcases a radiant smile as she tends to a honeybee hive in Norfolk, England. She and husband Prince William, parents of Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 8 and Prince Louis, 5, maintain a country home in the town.
"We are buzzing about #WorldBeeDay," the palace's post read. "Bees are a vital part of our ecosystem and today is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the essential role bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy."
The photo also had fans buzzing. One commented, "The Queen bee herself," while another person wrote, "Wow. Is there anything The Princess can't do?"
The post was shared a week after Kate made a surprise musical cameo during the broadcast of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
Looking glamorous in a royal blue, one-shoulder Jenny Packham gown and earrings that once belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II, the princess was shown in a pre-taped opening sequence playing the piano in the Windsor Castle's Crimson Drawing Room. The performance was part of a tribute to last year's Eurovision winner, Kalush Orchestra, from war-torn Ukraine.
Kate's performance marked the second time Kate has showcased her musical talent publicly since she accompanied singer Tom Walker on the piano during a televised 2021 Christmas Eve service at Westminster Abbey in London.
