Through her grieving process, Priscilla Presley is still able to feel the love.
Just days after Lisa Marie Presley was laid to rest during a public funeral at Graceland, her mom shared a message of gratitude to fans who continue offering condolences to the family.
"To YOU, I'm truly overwhelmed with your words, your prayers, your love and your support," Priscilla wrote on Twitter Jan. 26. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart in trying to help me get through this loss. Every parent who has lost a daughter or son knows what a dark painstaking journey it is."
In an earlier message to fans, Priscilla also expressed how positive messages can make an impact.
"Thank you for all your condolences, you have touched me with your words," she wrote on Twitter Jan. 23. "It has been a very difficult time, but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference."
Priscilla's life was turned upside down Jan. 12 when her daughter was rushed to the hospital after reportedly going into cardiac arrest. Just hours later, Priscilla confirmed her only child with Elvis Presley had died at 54.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," she confirmed in a statement to People. "She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers."
Lisa Marie shared daughter Riley Keough, 33, and late son Benjamin Keough with ex Danny Keough. She was also mom to 14-year-old twins Harper Lockwood and Finley Lockwood, whose dad is her ex Michael Lockwood.
During Lisa Marie's memorial service at Graceland Jan. 22, her mom read aloud a message written by one of her granddaughters.
"I have no idea how to put my mother into words," the note stated. "Truth is, there are too many. Lisa Marie Presley was an icon, a role model, a superhero to many people all over the world. But Mama was my icon, my role model, my superhero, in much more ways than one."
The letter continued, "Even now, I can't get across everything there is to be understood or known about her, but as she always said, ‘I'll do my best.'"
